Hand therapy is a specialty practice of occupational therapy, is typically concerned with treating upper extremity conditions to optimize the functional use of the hand and arm. We work closely with our orthopedic surgeons to ensure the best recovery following your surgery. An occupation-based, client-centered approached ensures you will be able to do what is meaning in your daily life. Services include: Splinting, manual joint and soft tissue mobilization, strengthening and range of motion, exercise programs, functional skills retraining, sensory retraining and scar management.
A comprehensive evaluation by a licensed occupational therapist will be completed on your initial appointment.Following evaluation, a treatment plan will be tailored to your individual needs. Therapy consists of recurring one-on-one treatment from an occupational therapist provided in a private treatment area or in our state-of-the-art gym.
